Two weeks ago I saw this tweet by Bjorn Lomborg @BjornLomborg, he wrote with this photo:
Visiting the EU:
The only place obsessed with having less
Less energy consumption will simply translate into less opportunities, less welfare, less future

Weird. Targeting and planning to reduce energy consumption for their own countries and people. Horrible ecological central planning.
Coal (Newcastle, Australia) prices January 2023 to mid-February 2025. Today it's $100/ton. Coal prices are stable at low levels.
PH coal generation is 62% of total in 2024, January 2025 is 55% of total, still high. The Asian Debts and Bureaucracies (ADB) wants early retirement or early shutdown of PH coal plants, to "save the planet" and replaced with wind solar, which in 2024 contributed about 4% of total combined.
This is a national security threat coming from ADB and allied groups. Blackout is never funny. Deindustrialization, companies shutting down due to frequent blackout, laying off thousands of workers is a national security threat.
In Dec. 2024 alone, CN electricity generation was 846 terawatt-hours (TWH). In 2023 PH full year power generation was 119 TWH.
--> CN's one month generation (Dec 2024) was 7x of PH one year generation.
--> PH's full year power generation was equivalent to only about 5 days of CN generation.
--> CN is full throttle on coal power, something like one new coal plant every week is commissioned. Plus CN is ramping up with more nuke plants. CN pays lip service to climate climate.
