Plunderers are above the law

Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Juan Ponce Enrile, and Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. are convicted plunderers in connection with the Napoles pork barrel scam, were put to jail in the previous administration. Enrile was freed "due to health reasons" while Estrada and Revilla were later freed under the present administration. See

Former President and now House Speaker Gloria Arroyo was also a convicted plunderer and was on hospital arrest but was later acquitted by the Supreme Court. See

And former First Lady Imelda Marcos was also convicted of graft and corruption. See

The Ressa arrest is due to a cyber libel filed by businessman Keng. A case between two private individuals. While the Duterte administration may be correct in saying that they just want to follow the rule of law in the Ressa arrest, they cannot say they also followed the rule of law for indirectly sponsoring the release of the convicted Senators.

Can you elaborate how Duterte administration sponsored the release of these 'convicts'? So at least your readers can verify your claims.

Only competent courts can convict a person. Have you ever studied cory aquino's 1987 broken constitution, even for a semester in school? If Supreme Court acquitted them of their charges, can you still claim they are convicts?

You have to rectify this article, unless, like cRappler's maria ressa, you are hell bent to push fake news.
