Weekend Fun 40: Bank Robbery and Management

I got this from facebook. Witty story, enjoy.
------------

There was this robbery in Guangzhou , the robber shouted to everyone: "All don't move, money belongs to the state, life belongs to you".

Everyone in the bank laid down quietly.

This is called "Mind Changing Concept --> Changing the conventional way of thinking".
--------------

One lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her "Please be civilised! This is a robbery and not a rape!"

This is called "Being Professional --> Focus only on what you are trained to do!"
---------------

When the robbers got back, the younger robber (MBA trained) told the older robber (who is only primary school educated), "Big bro, let's count how much we got", the older robber rebutted and said, "You very stupid, so much money, how to count, tonight TV will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"

This is called "Experience --> nowadays experience is more important than paper qualifications!"
--------------

After the robbers left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. The supervisor says "Wait, wait wait, let's put the 5 million RMB we embezzled into the amount the robbers robbed".

This is called "Swim with the tide --> converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!"
---------------

The supervisor says "It will be good if there is a robbery every month".

This is called "Killing Boredom --> Happiness is most important."
--------------

The next day, TV news reported that 100 million RMB was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count 20 million RMB. The robbers were very angry and complained "We risked our lives and only took 20 million RMB, the bank manager took 80 million RMB with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated to be a thief!"

This is called "Knowledge is worth as much as gold !"
-------------

The bank manager was smiling and happy because his loss in the CINOPEC shares are now covered by this robbery.

This is called "Seizing the opportunity --> daring to take risks!"

Weekend Fun 37: On Fighting Poverty

The big foreign aid institutions around the world, the WB and the ADB, they have a slogan something like "We dream of a world without poverty."

This reminds me of a cartoon which I read a quarter of a century ago:

Priest/Pastor: Thank God for poverty. It draws man away from materialism.
Politician: Thank God for poverty. It provides my political platform.
Gangs/Mafia: Thank God for poverty. It gives me steady supply of hired criminals.
Foreign aid Consultant: Thank God for poverty. My career is to study it.
Poor: I feel so appreciated. Thank God.

A friend shared that he saw or heard this quote or joke way back in the 50s:
Fight poverty, kill the poor.
And this reminds me again of two cartoon that I read more than 20 years ago. A poor man from Africa (or Asia) telling a military general in the US (or Europe):

Poor man: With all those money you spend on armaments and warfare, you can wipe out poverty in the third world.
General: Yes, with all those money that we spend on armaments, we can wipe out the poor in the third world.

Another variation... an African visa applicant talking to a European country embassy staff complained:

Man: My work visa application is denied? Problem with you rich countries is that you don't care about the poor in the third world.
Embassy staff: Now that's not true. Why, we don't care about the poor in our country either.

Happy weekend.

Weekend Fun 32: Angry Birds, Angry Taxpayers

Angry Birds cartoons are fun. My older daughter used to love them.
Lower photos: angry cat, angry dog, and angry satanic leaf-tailed gecko...

The angry grasshopper, angry horse, angry squirrel, angry lions...

Below, clockwise from left:... And the angry taxpayers, angry dinosaur, angry monkeys, and angry motorist.

Happy weekend.

Weekend Fun 29: Corona Impeachment Cartoons

The impeachment trial of Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona at the Senate is almost a month now, but I have not watched any of the live proceedings on tv. Sometimes I catch them on the evening news in tv. I get updated via online news and facebook :-)

Below are some of the cartoons I got from emails, or from the web. They are funny enough, I don't need to make additional captions. I did not make any of them, I just mixed them up in one frame, my only "value-added". Enjoy!

And happy weekend.

Weekend Fun 28: Men and Women

Stories and jokes on "Men vs. Women" are plenty and endless. Here are some of them.

These images and photos are really cool, I enjoyed them.

This man may have married a shopaholic wife (and daughter/s?). Could be one of those very rare "men's right" rallies.

Not too hard to believe. Very lucky guy, indeed :-)

And look at the truck on the left! The driver may have briefly thought that he's Tiger Woods, on women, not on the golf course.

Ahhh, very creative (male) toilet designers. I'm wondering what the counterpart female toilet looks like.

Happy weekend.

Weekend fun 16: Gaddafi cartoons

After 42 years in power, the Libyan dictator needs a make up to make himself a bit younger- and newer-looking.

The guys who made this photoshop magic or related software are cute and funny, hahaha. Hey, the UN just voted yesterday to impose the "No fly zone" order on Gadhafi's planes and choppers. After pounding and killing his people, he needed an about-face to say that he didn't do it, that he respects human rights.

Were Gaddafi and Mick Jagger (lead singer, The Rolling Stones) siblings who were separated when they were young? The former is a rock star, the latter is a fashion star. See earlier Weekend fun here, Gadhafi fashion.

Mick Jagger sang, "I see a red door and I want it painted black, No colors anymore I want them turn to black..."

Gadhafi sings, "I see big oil and I wanted your green bucks, No protest no rallies I'll shoot and beat them black..."

Rock star Gadhafi, yeah! Here preparing for his rock concert with fellow dictator, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez. Here he looks like Santana. And Santana and Rob Thomas sang, "I could change my life to better suit your mood, Cause you're so smooth..."

And Gaddafi sing, "I could change your life to better suit my mood, Cause I'm so smooth..." Yeah!

And Hugo Chavez can also sing, "I could change your car to better suit my oil, Cause oil is so smooth..."

Uhhrrrmm, Queen Gaddafi at Tripoliham (well, Tripoli + Buckingham, hehehe) Palace. Another brilliant product of photoshop + artist's talent.

UK's Queen dresses beautifully and elegantly, with class. Libya's Gaddhafi dresses oddly and eccentrically, with some class too. The man though does not seem to like jewelries. But sometimes he dresses like a multi-bemedalled warrior and military commander in the warfront.

Like this -- military dress paraphernalia, rock star long hair, Gucci sunglass, cool.

Ahh, ok, he looks like the character of U2's "Sunday bloody sunday" song here: "And today the millions cry, We eat and drink while tomorrow they die..."

Well, it isn't tomorrow. It was yesterday and the last few days and weeks, he ate and drank and his people who no longer support him, they died.

The Dracula is here. He thirsts for more oil and more blood, more money and more blood, more power and more blood.

And another U2 song: "This guy comes up to me, His face red like a rose on a thorn bush, Like all the colors of a royal flush..." (Bullet the blue sky).

42 years in power and still not enough. More power, more blood, yeah!
