Twitter notes, April-May 2011

Again, few and occasional tweets the past two months. When online, I spend more time in blogging and facebooking than tweeting. Anyway, here they go.

April 2011

Anyone who claims more tornadoes are caused by global warming is either misinformed, pandering, or delusional. - Dr. Roy Spencer

From Confucius: No matter where you go, there you are... We should feel sorrow, but not sink under its oppression.

Fr. Aristotle:The energy of the mind is the essence of life... Even when laws have been written, they ought not always to remain unaltered.

Fr Plato: Rhetoric is the art of ruling the minds of men... The excessive increase of anything causes a reaction in the opposite direction.

Fr. Epictetus: Practice yourself in little things, then proceed to greater... Know first, who you are, and then adorn yourself accordingly.

@jemygatdula Globalization & trade didnt create the Phils. They only aided d Filipinos become more modern, more mobile, more free marketer.

@gpph March-May are hottest months in the Phils. Cloudy almost everyday last March til today. Brief rains this am. Idiotic global warming.

3 quotes from Plato:There is no harm in repeating a good thing. Those who wish to sing always find a song. Philosophy begins in wonder.

May 2011

@Jimparedes Death is continuation of life bec life is a cycle, not a 1-dimensional or 1-direction journey. Good parents produce good chidren

From Confucius: Strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home... To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.

From Montesquieu: Liberty is the right to do what the law permits.... Peace is a natural effect of trade.

@gpph Prolonged drought, less snow, UN and Greenpeace say "man-made warming." Prolonged rains, more snow, they also say "Man-made warming."

From Marcus Aurelius -- To refrain from imitation is the best revenge.... To live happily is an inward power of the soul.

@gpph Food prices driven by warming alarmism, not global warming. Farmers plant biofuel for cars, not food crops for people and animals.

From Aristotle: Plato is dear to me, but dearer still is truth... Character may almost be called the most effective means of persuasion.

From Cicero: Laws are silent in time of war... The pursuit, even of the best things, ought to be calm and tranquil.

From Seneca: I don’t consider myself bald, I’m just taller than my hair... The approach of liberty makes even an old man become brave.

Another early onset of rainy season. Shd start June, not May, or April in some provinces. Warmists say this is indicator of global warming.

@cesdrilon Smuggling will remain attractive as import tax, VAT, BOC bureaucracy make imported goods (oil, food, cp,...) become expensive.

@jemygatdula Parental responsibility cannot be legislated. The RH bill means ever bigger govt, bigger bureaucracies and debts.

@risahontiveros Why cant NGO leaders, politicians, media folks, become businessmen themselves, and give P800/day min wage to their workers?

@cesdrilon Makatuwiran ba na makialam ang gobyerno, media, NGOs, church, etc. kung ano kayang pasweldo ng mga kompanya, kung ilan empleyado?

From Confucius: To see the right and not to do it is cowardice... Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

@gpph Man-made warming is a scam, a huge racket for those who make lots of money soliciting from governments and a fooled public.

From Machiavelli: One who deceives will always find those who allow themselves to be deceived... Politics have no relation to morals.

@bandila Rather, ano ang mga buwis sa gasolina na pwedeng bawasan or alisin muna ng gobyerno para makatulong sa magsasaka at mangingisda?

@Jimparedes Even forecasts when d current La Nina will end is a wild guess, http://bit.ly/mm0QwH. Why do we believe forecasts 90 yrs fr now?

@Jimparedes My latest article that man-made warming is a scam,http://bit.ly/j6Qruo, zero correlatn bet violent tornadoes, storms & climate.

@Jimparedes Man-made warming is a scam. Am ready for a public debate w/ any warming leader or spokesman. Let me know. thanks.

Rousseau: Our will is always for our own good, but we dont always see what it is... Nature never deceives us; it's we who deceive ourselves.

@bandila Wage is a function of productivity, not inflation rate, not the number of worker's children, not by the volume of street rallyists.

Fr Aristotle: Republics decline into democracies which degenerate into despotism...Worst form of inequality is to make unequal things equal.

Fr. Plato: I shall assume, your silence gives consent... Wise men speak bec they have something to say; Fools bec they have to say something

"Bin Laden was killed because he moved from the BUSHes to the BARRACKs" - Dong Abay... "Obama 1, Osama 0" - Dan Mitchell
